Chris James 2018 Barbera offers aromas of red fruit with toast and coconut. Flavors of bright cherries and blackberries with a hint of sweetness. Willamette Valley being a cool climate, the fruits are from Walla Walla but the wine is made in Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
This Barbera is well paired with rosemary lamb chops with mushroom wine sauce, blue cheese with herbs and crackers, braised turnips with greens.
